Traditional Urban is a multidiscipline South Australian family owned company. Who specialise in Urban Planning, Architectural Building Design and Construction Services within the Residential, Commercial and Industrial building sectors.
Traditional Urban was established in 2006 by Managing Director Guido Ranaldo and family, who have been active in the building industry since 1978, formerly GR Building Designers.
It’s with this experience and family tradition that sets Traditional Urban apart from others in the industry. Traditional Urban was formed to provide a holistic and personalized service that enables clients to achieve desired outcomes.
Since its inception Traditional Urban have flourished and have built a solid reputation through valuing, honesty, integrity and providing quality workmanship at affordable prices. We value traditional principles and embrace modern techniques.
Traditional Urban is a custom builder and designer who achieves excellence in all projects. By taking on a limited number of projects at any one time, ensuring the client is given the one on one service they deserve. Our goal is to deliver an art form that will be enjoyed and cherished by its owners for generations.

Our History.
1978
Guido established GR Building Designs once completing his studies in Architectural Building Design in 1978 at the Adelaide Institute. Since this time Guido has worked with some of South Australia’s most prominent builders, architects, urban planners and developers. Over the past 42 years Guido has provided South Australia with building design and construction management to all sectors of the industry. Having worked as a building designer, builder, construction manager, project manager and developer. GR Building Design evolved to be more than just a building designer.
2006
Traditional Urban was incorporated in 2006 and was formed to reflect the next generation of family into the business and provide a holistic multidiscipline service that caters for all aspects of a project. Traditional Urban is the re-branded name for GR Building Design and was formed to provide the market with high quality Urban Planning, Architectural Building Design and Construction Services. Traditional Urban carefully select craftspeople who share the passion, knowledge and experience that Guido and his team have.
2014
In 2014 Traditional Urban expanded its business into property development. With this it has incorporated its family name into the company which now forms part of the family owned and operated company Ranaldo Property Group Pty Ltd T/A Traditional Urban.
